5.3. Capacitors

The following parameters are extracted from manufacturer data:

• Dielectric type (e.g. polyester, polypropylene, …)

• Mechanical shape and dimensions

• Mass

• Capacitance

• Maximum voltage

• Admissible rms current with no frequency or temperature dependency

• Equivalent series resistance (ESR) with no frequency or temperature dependency

• Maximum internal temperature and internal-to-ambient thermal resistance if provided
